1. Childhood and Early Inspirations
Music was an integral part of my life from an early age. However, the defining moment came on my 18th birthday, when Doug Sprague — pianist for Frank Sinatra and a friend of my father — performed a private concert for me. It was an unforgettable experience that sparked my deep passion for music. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to become a musician.
2. The Beginning – Pigs Might Fly and First Successes
After countless hours of practice and a strong desire to create my own music, I became the keyboard player for the band Pigs Might Fly in 1987. Touring with the band through various venues allowed me to gain valuable live performance experience. In 1988, we reached an important milestone by winning first place in a renowned rock competition. This achievement confirmed that I was on the right path and motivated me to pursue music even further.
3. Discovering Electronic Music
Another major turning point came in 1996, when I met Ralf Matten. He introduced me to the world of electronic music and opened up entirely new creative possibilities. Over the next three years, we worked closely together and released numerous tracks. This period greatly expanded my musical horizons and deepened my passion for electronic sound design and production.
4. A Creative Break and Musical Rebirth
After taking a creative break to focus on other areas of life, I rediscovered my passion for music in 2019 through the Future Rave genre. The energy and modern sound of this style immediately inspired me to start composing and producing intensively again. Returning to music felt like the beginning of a new chapter in my life — one in which I wanted to prove that my passion for music had never faded.
5. Today and the Future
Today, I continue to work on new projects and productions with great dedication. Combining the experience of the past with modern influences, I constantly experiment with new sounds and creative concepts. My journey is far from over — it continues to evolve with the goal of inspiring people through my music.
Closing Words
Music has always been much more to me than just a hobby — it is a way of life. From the early days of rock music to modern electronic sounds, music has continuously guided and driven me forward. I am excited for what lies ahead and deeply grateful for all the experiences that have shaped me into the musician I am today.
